At 50 kilometers from Almaty near the Issyk Lake, in the gorge of the same name, there is the “Kremlin Wall” - this grandiose cliff of red granite got its name because of its reddish hue.
The Kremlin Wall stretches for five hundred meters and reaches 120 meters in height. In the 70s, rock climbing competitions were held here. Fans of this extreme sport often come to this place.
In the warm season, the rock is especially popular amongs tourists resting at Issyk Lake. The Kremlin Wall is located on the territory of the National Natural Park Ile-Alatau and the Almaty Reserve.
If you're lucky, in this picturesque place, surrounded by Tien Shan spruces, you can meet beautiful animals like roe deers or mountain-goats.
